Highlights: The Average price of homes across British Columbia in September 2022 was $921,433, up 1% from $912,008 in September 2021. New listings are down 5.4% compared to September 2021. The benchmark prices in BC are as follows: Chilliwack $719,900, Fraser Valley $1,011,100, Interior BC $673,400, Greater Vancouver $1,155,300, Vancouver Island $ 729,500, Victoria $934,200. August saw continued strong listing activity and slowing sales bringing the market to a more balanced position. Sales are down 51.3% compared to the same time last year as buyers adopt a "wait and see" approach to the recent interest rate hikes. WIth prices settling down, there could be renewed activity this fall from buyers looking for good value.
